The Opening Shot:

One of the many things the EhBC group does is organize "play parties". We've held two so far, and both have been a lot of fun. Our next one is coming up fast -- February 28th, to be exact.
Since a lot of our newer members weren't around when we held our last party back in October, we thought we'd take this opportunity to explain what a play party is all about.
In essence, a play party is a chance for people to let their hair down and be themselves. Doms can be Doms, subs can be subs, and people are free to play with each other in a safe, supervised atmosphere. We provide suitable furnishings, but people are encouraged to bring whatever toys they have.
No one is ever required to play, or to do anything that they don't feel comfortable with. If all you want to do is sit and watch that's fine.
In order to help ensure the safety and privacy of everyone involved, we do have a number of rules. Some of those rules have to do with what is and is not allowed at the party. There'll be no alcohol, and if you appear to be intoxicated when you arrive, you'll be asked to leave. No penetrative sex, and no exposed genitals. Basically, nothing that can get us in trouble with the law.
Other rules relate to who is and is not allowed to go to the party itself. The event is strictly invitation-only. If you've attended one or more of our munches, you're invited. You are also allowed to bring guests, but you are responsible for their behavior. You must also give us a list of their names before the party itself -- no last-minute surprises.
Although there's no "dress code" as such, we do ask that people bring suitable fetish attire. There'll be changing space on-site, so you can arrive in street clothes if you like. If you have questions about what to wear, or what not to wear, contact Arnora -- she's our resident expert on costuming. She can be reached at 894-3996. (NOTE: For those with internet connections, past discussions on what to wear can be found in the EhBC website archives, and in the Fetiquette White Paper, also accessible from the EhBC website.)
We hope to see you all on February 28th!
- Bernie Roehl
Hi all, I've taken on a new project for myself that is quite apart from EhBC.
With the kind offer of a Net friend of mine to use the ISP that he owns, I have set up a new mailing list specifically for male Dominants, and female submissives who are interested in, or already are, actively integrating D/s into their *lifestyle* and relationships. This is not a list for people who are completely new to the Scene, rather it is a place for people who think there might something more beyond the fun and games at the surface.
Singles, couples, and other family configurations are all welcome.
There is no cost to join, and the list will be closed after 100 addresses have been added, to cut down on the noise level associated with larger lists like the MDOM list that has over 800 people subscribed.
Please feel free to pass this information to friends that you think may be interested, but please do so carefully. I am interested in building a list of people who will participate actively and responsibly with few flame wars. And with only 100 spots available, I don't want a list of 100 lurkers either. :)
How it works is this...you email me with interest, I send you the list rules, you send me a short note agreeing to abide by them, and I add you by hand to the list, at which point you will receive the welcome letter with the list address.
If you are interested in getting on this new list, or just want to ask more questions, please email me privately at the kitten@golden.net address.
Thanks, karen/kitten :)
